Weekend Guide: Rare Beer, Spooky Bites and Yummy Anniversaries

​Here's our lineup–with a couple extra events for the week ahead! 
FRIDAY
What: Drink up–these beers aren't so easy to get your hands on. As part of the final weekend of LA Beer Week, The Factory is bringing extreme brews to its constantly rotating taps. The lineup: Knee Deep Brewing Citra Pale Ale and Hoptologist Double IPA, The Bruery Humulus Lager, Eagle Rock Barrel-Aged Equinox Young Sour, Cismontane Oktoberfest, New Belgium Clutch Dark Sour, Sierra Nevada Homegrown Estate Wet Hop IPA, Avery Imperial Oktoberfest and Ballast Point Sculpin IPA. 
When: Fri.-Sat., 3 p.m.-midnight; Sun., 3-11 p.m.
Where: The Factory, 4020 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach    
Cost: Free entrance. $20 for a commemorative drinking boot and six 7-oz. samples.

SATURDAY 
What: Blackmarket Bakery's open house, presented by Robots For Hire, screams of fall with spooky treats (gingerbread skeletons!) and an array of pumpkin desserts (honey pumpkin tarts, pumpkin cranberry scones and pumpkin spice bread pudding). There'll be sweets tastings, cake art demos and grub from The Lime Truck. 
When: Sat., 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where: Blackmarket Bakery, 17941 Sky Park Circle, #E, Irvine  
Cost: Free entrance. Get a $20 gift certificate for $10.  
What: The housing company StoneTree Manor in Irvine is giving away $5 Starbucks gift cards to the first 50 people who bring in this coupon. Not too shabby, eh? (Check out their properties while you're at it.) 
When: Starting Saturday at 10 a.m.

And for the week ahead:
TUESDAY 

What: The Burnt Truck is celebrating its first year of existence with $1 original Sloppy Joe sliders, a viewing of Eat Street and raffle prizes galore.  
When: Tues., Oct. 25, 6-9 p.m. 
Where: Shark Club, Costa Mesa 
Cost: Free entrance 
WEDNESDAY    

What: Celebrate a year of gourmet waffle sandwiches with . . . more gourmet waffle sandwiches, of course. And delicious shakes and floats. The event benefits four local charities.    
When: Wed., 5-7 p.m.
Where: Bruxie, 292 North Glassell St., Orange
Cost: $20
