It's beginning to look a lot like . . . Peppermint Pinkberry season!
Your weekend food itinerary.
Pinkberry Introduces its Holiday Flavor: Peppermint
What: Sure, it's cold and rainy today, but somehow in SoCal, it's never a bad time for fro-yo. The new flavor is minty and refreshing.
When: Through Jan. 5
Where: Pinkberry locations
What: OC Wine Mart presents its first Winemaker Wine Tasting with Tiffinee Vierra from Paso's Boutique Winery, Derby Wine Estates.
When: Fri., 6-8 p.m.
Where: OC Wine Mart, 2272 Michelson Dr., Irvine.
Cost: $25 for a flight of five wines and artisan cheese and salami; $5 goes back toward your wine purchase.
What: In annual, messy tradition, teams compete to launch pumpkins across a field. Though you prefer to eat your food rather than catapult it, the event will bring out food trucks galore--Spudrunners, Barcelona On-the-Go, Dogzilla, Crepes Bonaparte, the Flip Truck, SlapFish, Pogi Boy and the Lime Truck.
When: Sat., 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Where: Marine Stadium
, Long Beach (on the corner of Bayshore and Appian)
