KDB in Long Beach, your "neighborhood kitchen, den and bar," is a Dave & Buster's-esque fun zone for adults. It happens to trump its competitor, however, with two full bars, a bowling alley, karaoke, pool tables, a restaurant and games that actually give you a decent amount of tickets. After 10 p.m., KDB becomes 21 and over, so go later to experience more of a bar atmosphere.
The most impressive part of the KDB equation is definitely the "B." The drink menu is broken down into sections--kitchen, den, bar, specialty cocktails, margaritas, and, of course, beer and wine. The craziest drinks on the menu come from the "kitchen," with martinis such as PB&J and Grandma's Apple Pie, but I tend to stick with the specialty cocktails. During my most recent visit, I tried the Tropical Tea.

SHOW ME HOW
KDB's Tropical Tea is similar to Tokyo Tea, but uses vodka, gin, tequila, coconut rum, Midori, sweet and sour, and pineapple juice. It's on the sweet side and is heavy on the coconut and pineapple flavors. As you would expect from a cocktail that seems to require a little bit of everything from the bar, it comes with a kick, so watch out!
