This Sunday: Wild Goose Tavern To Host Luau And Pig Roast For Charity

There's nothing that makes a summer party more legit than a full butchered hog, the guest of honor at Wild Goose Tavern's inaugural Luau & Pig Roast happening this Sunday, Aug. 4. The Costa Mesa watering hole and maker of the best sausage sandwiches in town is hosting the Hawaiian-themed event to benefit the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.

Dig into the pork prepared by chef Dave Burg and wash it down with a drink from the outdoor beer garden and cocktail bar (try the Wild on the Riviera, a refreshing concoction of Tres Sietes silver Tequila, muddled watermelon, basil, lime juice and ginger ale–yum!).

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. No tickets are necessary, though “aloha attire” is suggested.
