There May Be A Whole Lot More Bruxie's Coming

Bruxie, the waffle sandwich shop that started across from Chapman college three years ago and now boasts six locations, has announced it received a significant investment from Catterton Partners, the private equity firm that helped finance P.F. Chang's and Baja Fresh to expand.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed, but a partner at the firm was quoted as saying, “We are excited to leverage our experience in the fast-casual restaurant space as we partner with [founders] Dean [Simon], Kelly [Mullarney] and the Bruxie team to help the company realize its full growth potential.”

What this might mean is that someday in the future, when Bruxie has gone national and maybe international, consumers will look at that first Bruxie across from Chapman as they now look upon the first McDonald's in San Bernardino.
