The Grilled Cheesus Toasts the Face of Jesus on Your Sandwich

Jesus lives! In sandwich form, at least.

We just got word of the Grilled Cheesus, an electronic sandwich press that toasts the face of Christ onto bread. It's a kitchen device sent from heaven via young Brooklyn couple Rob Corso and Meg Sheehan, who are trying to raise $25,000 on Kickstarter to get the product into homes so that people can pray to the Big Guy before biting off his head.

From the press release:
YOUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!
The GRILLED CHEESUS™ is an electronic sandwich press that toasts the face of Jesus onto your sandwich bread! What a great way to inspire your family at the dining-room table or your children in the lunchroom. It's also a fun way to impress your friends at a party or the congregation at your church coffee hour! However you slice it, the GRILLED CHEESUS™ lets you bring little grilled miracles to mealtime, snack time or any time.

According to the Kickstarter page, Corso and Sheehan have been working on the Grilled Chesus for three years. When a 2010 Glee episode titled “Grilled Cheesus” featured Finn praying to an image of Jesus on his grilled-cheese sandwich, the couple saw it as an act of serendipity.
If the product gets enough financial backers (hey, miracles do happen), it will retail for $39.95.
