The Bruery Collaborates with Dogfish Head's Sam Calagione on Japanese-Inspired Beer

Some big news from The Bruery. Founder Patrick Rue, who we recently profiled in a Weekly cover story, is teaming up with Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Brewery on a specialty brew. Craft beer geeks are already calling it the wildest collaboration of the year.
Delaware-based Calagione, the godfather of modern craft beer, is at the Placentia brewery today, working on the Japanese-inspired beer made with ingredients such as nori, chili peppers, sesame seeds and kumquats, and fermented with a sake yeast. When it's released, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Japan disaster relief.
