Come the end of this week March 13, Laguna Beach will have a new restaurant. Taverna Pizzeria and Risotteria will open at 222 Ocean Avenue, which used to be Laguna Federal Savings and Loan, a long, long time ago.
The restaurant is by Lombardi Family Concepts, a Dallas-based company with a portfolio that includes a handful of Taverna restaurants in Texas and a Romagna Mia in Vegas at the Miracle Mile Shops inside Planet Hollywood.
Laguna Beach’s Taverna will feature risotto—its flagship dish—using Carnaroli rice and pizzas baked in a “woodstone oven.”
