Taco Bell is not only the world's largest Mexican-food chain, with nearly 6,000 restaurants in the United States (refry that for a second) and about 200 international outposts, it's about to go even bigger–like, conquer the rest of the world bigger.
Nation's Restaurant News is reporting that the Bell is following on the success of its wildly successful Doritos Loco and breakfast menu and investing in a push to conquer the rest of the world–except Mexico, that is.

The story says the big push will be on England, Poland, Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Chile and Peru, with the thinking going that Taco Bell can push its sales to $14 billion by 2022. Refry that: $14 billion for the Bell's blecch food.
The big question, of course, is whether Taco Bell will ever bother with Mexico again. It infamously tried to last decade, with a place in Monterrey, one of the most American cities in Mexico. The reaction was more quizzical than furious (like when Oaxacans started a riot to prevent a McDonald's to open in their state capital), and the Bell quickly scurried across the border to feed college bros too stupid to try and find a Del Taco nearby…
