Taco Bell Crime of the Week: Teens Crash into Pole at 100 MPH During Taco Bell Run!
Okay, so this crime happened two weeks ago, but I won't apologize for the cheat. See, Thanksgiving week is one of the few stretches of time America ISN'T Taco Bell crazy, and the only crimes committed at the fast-food giant's many outlets were run-of-the-mill robberies--nothing truly outlandish. So let's hop on the wayback machine to Nov. 19, when teens in the Spokane Valley became leadfoots on their way to Taco Bell.
A 15-year-old driver speeding faster than 100 mph before crashing into a Spokane Valley power pole Friday night was taking a couple of intoxicated friends to get tacos, according to police reports.
Investigators want blood samples from the unlicensed driver. A 14-year-old passenger in the back seat who suffered a broken foot in the crash along the 3700 block of North Harvard Road in the Otis Orchards area said he saw the speedometer top 120 mph.
A 17-year-old boy in the front seat remained in critical condition at a hospital Monday. The 15-year-old driver injured his head and went to a hospital.
