Taco Bell Crime of the Week: Drunk Drives into Police Car!
People: Don't buy Taco Bell. But if you insist, don't do it at the drive-thru window, the place where far too many crimes have occurred. But if you insist, don't do it after having a couple of beers and tokes. But if you insist, DON'T ram into the police car ahead of you.
Someone should've given this advice to Donald Meyer.
A Hamilton man is facing charges after police say he struck a police cruiser in line at a Taco Bell drive-thru.
Hamilton police say Donald Meyer, 46, rear-ended the cruiser at the Taco Bell at 819 High Street around 5:45 p.m. Friday.
The officer got out of his cruiser and observed that Meyer's eyes were bloodshot, according to police.
Meyer then told the officer that he had been up since 4 a.m., but had slurred speech and smelled like alcohol and marijuana, according to police.
When asked how much he had to drink, Meyer told the officer he had two beers at a house on his way home from work.
Meyer also told the officer he had smoked marijuana about an hour before the incident.
