Starting Today, You Can Have Alcohol from Hi-Time Delivered Right to Your Door

A few Uber for X services have been coming to Orange County lately (most notably, Postmates and DoorDash), but another one is arriving and I'm super excited for it: Drizly, the Uber for alcohol (Yes, I know Postmates will deliver alcohol too, but the exciting part comes in a second).

Starting TODAY, you can use the app or website to order booze direct from Hi-Time Wine Cellars, the Weekly's favorite alcohol shop, to be delivered within an hour. Yup, now you won't have to put on real pants when you run out of booze. There is a catch though — you have to live in either Newport Beach, Irvine, Huntington Beach, or Costa Mesa.

From the company:

Legal-age drinkers in Southern California simply download the free Drizly app on their smartphone or visit Drizly.com. There, they will find a shopping experience that is informative, customized and fun, populated with thousands of products from Hi-Time Wine Cellars expansive inventory, all at the same price as they would pay in-store.

Drizly also lets consumers schedule deliveries when it is most convenient for them, earn valuable rewards on purchases, or easily send gifts to friends, family and colleagues of legal drinking age.

To check if you fall into their service area, visit their website. Until May 30, you can order without a delivery fee if you put input the code “OC” (that's $5 off).

If you don't know what to get, I recommend Green Spot Irish Whiskey, Rodenbach Grand Cru, or Monkish Feminist.
