Snooze, An A.M. Eatery in Tustin: Worth Waking Up For

We know breakfast doesn’t get enough respect in Orange County. It’s already difficult to make time for the most important meal of the day; but to locate one that’s damn good is an even tougher task. We’re talking sit down, place an order and fork into in a savory (or sweet) plate of deliciousness. Spots in Seal Beach, Fullerton and Laguna Hills quickly come to mind. Tustin can join our list, since Snooze, An A.M. Eatery, is now open at The Market Place.

Operating at early hours (6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day), Snooze caters to diners of all ages and tastes. An established brand out of Colorado, their formula for success continues in Arizona and Texas. A decade-old concept, they’ve managed to take an otherwise straightforward meal and make it more of an experience. From the bright interior, eclectic soundtrack and conversational staff, it’s a welcoming place to enjoy their expansive menu.

Speaking of menus, let’s discuss options. Can’t decide from their six Benedicts or plentiful pancakes? No problem! Do a Benny duo or Pancake Flight; both allow diners to select multiple variations of either. Corned beef hash, breakfast tacos and pork-driven sandwiches mean more opportunities to explore something new. And while there are certainly “light as a feather” selections (Quinoa porridge, anyone?), they also carry a full bar. Yes, Snooze goes above and beyond the mimosa and Bloody Mary here.

After an initial visit, Snooze exceeded our expectations. But it’s gonna take more time at that counter to be sure. If you decide to drop by, know they don’t take reservations. We suppose you can take turns napping while waiting for your table?
