Slapfish Opens at University Town Center across the Street from UC Irvine Today

Slapfish's fifth Southern California location opens today at University Center next to UC Irvine, replacing Berkeley Dog. To celebrate, the first 100 visitors will receive one free lobster roll each–so be there early!

The seafood restaurant joins Mendocino Farms, Eureka!, Snow Monster, and several other businesses in the shopping center's changing look and feel (and spoiling those college students).

From the food truck to brick-and-mortar restaurants to winning our Best Seafood Restaurant and Best Fish and Chips titles in 2012, Slapfish has established a solid reputation for itself and current Anteaters are lucky to have it. There are the famed lobster rolls, yes, but the warm chowder fries sprinkled with bacon, lobster breakfast tacos, and everything else is just as solid.

One last thing: special to this location is “The Anteater,” a slider made with medium rare beef, tomato slices, and a jumbo-sized fried shrimp, and fish wings. Ugh, those spoiled kids.

The grand opening starts at 11 a.m.

The new Slapfish location is at 4249 Campus Drive, Irvine.
