Serious grape action is scheduled for this Friday evening over in Monarch Beach. Back in 2012, we interviewed Chef Frederic Castan of Motif inside the St. Regis. While his back-of-the-house responsibilities keep him busy, Castan manages to crank out the occasional rustic dinner.
Chef's teamed up with Silver Oak winemaker Nate Weiss to host a five-course, progressive pairing. The dining affair will certainly cost you ($265 to be exact), but give the menu a chance before you decide. Atlantic sea scallops, veal sweetbread, Muscovy duck and prime rib eye linked to wine country reds are a recipe for good times. The specific menu can be found here.
