PigOut 3.0 Coming This Sunday!

You may already be familiar with this annual summer soiree to celebrate the curly-tailed hog. But if you're not, let us educate you.

Created by the non-profit, Inspire Artistic Minds, this porky social brings together many of Orange County's haute chefs to showcase their creativity with our savory beast. Monies raised go towards scholarships for students in the culinary and fine arts. General and VIP admission for the unlimited tastes are still available. This year's festivities now include an extra porktastic element: live butchering!

The generous folks over at Templeton Rye are providing a 210-pound, Heritage Pork pig to the event, which will then be tasked to Amar Santana (of Broadway by Amar Santana) for proper preparation of Templeton foie gras meatballs. In addition, Cook Pigs Farm will donate the lucky pig that Michael Pugliesi of Electric City Butcher will break down. Live auctioning of the best parts will occur, providing winners with clean, wrapped packages ready to take home. Additional demonstrations will be done by The Prince & Pantry and Bev Lazo of Coolinary Trends.

In addition to Broadway, the current list of participating restaurants includes Chapter One: The Modern Local, 320 Main, Fireside Tavern, Mesa and A Restaurant. Representatives from ARC, Ink, and Broadway will also be pouring a spirited menu. For a complete listing of all the festivities and participants, and to purchase tickets, please visit 100eats.com. Be ready to go on a cleanse the following day.
