And now, on to Part Two. . .

When you're not in the kitchen cooking, what are you doing?
I am booking events and returning emails, phone calls and text messages. If I'm not working, I'm with my kids, doing football practice or playing video games.

Last song playing on your radio/smart phone/iPod:
“Drive By Truckers” by Paulianna.

]
Where did you grow up?
Born and raised in La Habra.

How did you and your wife meet?
My wife and I have been together since our sophomore year in high school. We met at Whittier Christian High in history class. I was cheating off her test, and she got angry. No lie.

Hardest lesson you've learned:
Money doesn't bring happiness. I have had real good, high-paying jobs, but I was just miserable. Don't chase money; find happiness from within.

What's your favorite childhood memory?
Going to my parents' beach house in Newport Beach with my cousins.

Favorite Halloween costume:
I have always been a zombie kind of guy. I love zombie movies.

What were you doing up until five years ago?
I was working in the social services area of the city, mentoring troubled youth. Far, far away from food and trucks.

Favorite holiday:
Halloween. Love the scene and the costumes and decorating. I have great Halloween memories.

Last book you read.
I just finished 11/28/63 by Steven King. I read all of the time, a couple of books each month. This was a real good read. I would recommend it.

Last thing you looked up/searched online:
I looked up info on Gaslight Anthem coming to LA for a concert.

Do you have any skills that are non-food-related?
I play the guitar and am pretty good at video games. I like playing Modern Warfare 3 with my kids; it bridges the generation gap.

What would you be doing if you weren't in this business?
I would no doubt still be working with troubled kids. I think that it has been the best fit for my personality. I loved working with teens.
