I can learn more about a subject by sitting down with them for 20 minutes than they'll ever admit to on paper. Fortunately, I prefer the social interaction over email exchanges any day. Casey is no exception, as he reminisces about previous employers and goes over our assortment of questions. I grill him on just a few more inquiries before finishing my glass of red.

Hardest lesson you've learned: The balance between cooking for the guest and cooking for yourself (still learning).

How did you meet your wife? We are high school sweethearts.
What activities do you like to do with your family? I love playing board games (including Battleship), taking them to practice and cooking together.
Where did you grow up? The OC. I attended Mater Dei and Cal Lutheran.

What would you be doing if you weren't in the industry? I would be a teacher/coach. I love to mentor people. Athletics are another passion of mine.
