OC Night Market Returns This Weekend!

It will be barely over five months since OC Night Market backed up the 55 freeway (like it was fair season) when they allow the masses back to the fairgrounds for another round of Asian-inspired entertainment this Friday. We can complain about the lines all we want, but the fact that they bring the fun to us instead of having to trek to another area code makes all the difference.

The fun begins each afternoon at 4 p.m, where you can expect to pay $7 for parking and another $5 per person for admission. Between the 200-ish merchandisers, performers and food vendors, expect to find something for almost everyone– or do as we did and message friends already there to compare notes on what's worth standing in line for.

You'll find a food demo at the Main Stage on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. Also worth mentioning is a costume contest where participants can not only receive discounts for being dressed up, but be in the running for $100 (to cover your Night Market costs?). Bookmark the food stalls you want to check out on their handy app, or do what we suggest and read up on Edwin's review when he went back in May. Regardless, you can learn more when you head to the event site.

If you're still a little lost, just stick to our favorites: Mama Musubi (D21), Solid Coffee Roasters (E03), Waffles de Liege (luxe lonchera area), Fusion Bites (E16) and the OC Weekly table (B12)! Make someone else stand in line for that ramen burger.
