Easter snuck up on us like an electric car in the parking lot. If you're looking for activities that don't involve an egg hunt, we've got you covered for the not-too-distant future. So hop to it!
Through April 3
Boysenberry Festival at Knott's Berry Farm, Buena Park
At the theme park we can afford, all things are coming up berry fun! Last year, we discovered their tasty boysenberry latte. This time around, go for the gusto with the Fun Bun (located at Ghost Town Grub) - a deep fried cinnamon pastry that's been dunked in funnel cake batter, then slathered in boysenberry cream cheese. We double dog dare you to wash an entire one down with boysenberry beer.
Sunday, March 27
Cars and Cafe at Moulin, Newport Beach
Before you lecture us on the defunct Cars and Coffee, our ulterior motive for rolling out of bed on a Sunday morning is simple: amazing croissants. Sporty vehicles and a chill crowd are bonus. Stop by no later than 8:30 a.m. for an eclectic mix of eye candy. Linger around afterwards for that croque madame.

SoCo Uncorked, Costa Mesa
Live music, bites from The OC Mix/South Coast Collection eateries, and so much wine! Splurge for this courtyard tasting by over 30 wineries. Consider it your upgraded happy hour.
Tuesday, April 5
Winemaker dinner at CUCINA Enoteca, Newport Beach
More wine? Indeed. While most themed wine dinners are paired with a specific winery in mind, CUCINA recruited an epic duo of Sonoma County barrel-agers to make things interesting. Scribe Winery's Andrew and Adam Mariani, plus the triple threat of Noah Dorrance, Steve Graf and Baron Zielger from Banshee Wines will be on hand to educate and entertain thirsty diners. Four courses, eight wines and $112 later, you'll be sleeping soundly that night.
Sunday, April 17
Local Brews/Local Grooves at House of Blues, Anaheim
Our final agenda item is found in the center of Downtown Disney. While advertised as a craft beer, food and music festival, music comes first. 15 musical acts on three stages and 16 breweries serving 50+ pours make for one mellow Sunday afternoon. We suggest grabbing a quick bite beforehand, so your money is primarily spent on all things hoppy.
