Beginning this Sunday, August 1, Bootlegger's Brewery will be open 12-6 every Sunday. No word on whether they've arranged for food trucks to be there on Sundays, but at the very least you can enjoy a pint of Rustic Rye or Knuckle Sandwich while trying to forget about the impending workweek.

Work on the Bruery Provisions store in Old Town Orange continues apace; some new faces were seen at the Bruery Tasting Room this weekend, including the cheese guru. Asked when this new Holy Grail of beer might open, the response was a fumfered, “Septem…ber… yeah.” We can't wait.

Finally, Tustin Brewing has announced the date of their 14th anniversary party. Sunday, August 29 from 1-4 p.m., with barbecue, prizes and maybe a beer or two or ten. Fourteen years… take that, you whippersnapper North County breweries. Now get off my lawn!
