Every Saturday morning, anyone in OC who loves food is rightfully at the Irvine Farmers' Market across the street from UCI. But you should also make some time to swing down to the SOCO Collection that day, not just because it's filled with awesome tenants but because its farmers' market is slowly, surely establishing itself as a must-visit.
I judge a farmers' market by the quality of its orange juice maker, and Bautista Creek Local Produce from Hemet makes a great one--tart, with a good body. But even better is their boysenberry lemonade.

Boysenberry is my favorite berry--and it's even better in lemonade form. The Bautista guys make a juice from boysenberries grown on their farm and use it to top off their excellent lemonade. It's sweeter than strawberry lemonade, and its purple hue will get on your lips as if you just downed an Otter Pop. The only thing I don't like about Bautista's boysenberry lemonade is that they've yet to put it in plastic cartons--as it stands, they make it fresh and only fresh. But what a way to beat down this already oppressive summer... The list:
