No. 84, The Rhino at Rancho a Go Go

BBQ is universally known as knock-you-out fare, but Rancho a Go Go truck's monstrosity The Rhino takes that statement to new heights. Grab a friend or two, throw caution and cholesterol concerns to the wind, and prepare to get your ass kicked by a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with a softball-sized mound of pulled pork and macaroni and cheese.

Novelty aside, what makes this heart-stopper work is that each component is so dang delicious. Golden, buttery white bread and goopy processed American are classic together already, but add a scoop of cheesy pasta and a mound of stringy, smoked pulled pork and you've gone from comfort food to food coma.
Heavy after only a couple of bites, it's Chef/Owner Chris Rocke's BBQ sauce that cuts through so much fat: a dark shade of mahogany that hits sweet like molasses, spreading thick across the tongue. A hint of smoke and a splash of vinegar round it out. The sauce is sticky, and the sandwich messy, so stock up on napkins.
