New Wine and Tapas Restaurant Replaces Pane e Vino in Brea

Pane e Vino
, the Italian restaurant that's been in Brea Downtown for as long as Brea Downtown has been, closed around March. Now a new wine and tapas restaurant called Two 40 South has taken over the space at, you guessed it, 240 South Brea Blvd.

What we know so far about the place is that they will serve wine from a touted 32-wine enomatic system (a contraption that has wine bottles connected into a Matrix-like series of tubes) and also straight from barrels. The food is described as “farm to table California” with small plates and brick-oven pizzas.

The general manager previously worked at Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood, and the chef is from Vinolio, also in West Hollywood. If you'd like to join them, last week the restaurant recently announced some openings for a few front-of-house positions. For details, CLICK HERE.

The restaurant is actually already taking reservations as early as next week, but they're looking at a mid-July opening.
