New Tustin Korean Restaurant In Tustin Where There Once Was Another, and Another

I don't have a prize to give out, but I will offer a hearty attaboy to anyone who can tell me how many Korean restaurants have occupied the hut in front of Sushi Wasabi at the corner of Newport and Walnut in Tustin.

My recollection has it at three. There was a joint called Happy Snacks in '06 which folded to something named “Seoul Korean Cuisin” (not a misspelling on my part, that's how they had it). Now a new restaurant has taken up shop there, making round three.

Hebaragi is a DIY Korean BBQ, notable because none of the other incarnations before it were. The odd thing about this new restaurant is that since there aren't many tables inside to accommodate Korean grills (it is still housed inside that hut, after all), if you opt to order any of the Korean BBQ, you are seated outside in a long, skinny outdoor patio, which I believe is a new addition to the building.

Still, I think the fact that it is a Korean BBQ, Hebaragi might just be able to outlast its predecessors. Because, who doesn't love Korean BBQ?
