McDonald's McBaguette Debuts In France

This week we learned that Brits get a hot dog stuffed into the crusts of their Pizza Hut pizza, and the French? Why they get their own custom sandwich catered to local tastes from McDonald's.

The French branch of the Golden Arches announced Tuesday that it will launch the McBaguette on April 18th for six weeks in 1,230 of its restaurants in France.

According to press reports, vice president of marketing Nawfal Trabelsi describes the new item this way:
“It's a crispy baguette, served hot, with beef, a slightly strong whole grain mustard sauce and ripe Emmental cheese.”
It's yet another move by the company to continue its success in that country. It is said that France is the McDonald's second most profitable market in the globe.
