Mariscos Licenciado #2 in Anaheim Now Three Times Bigger than Before!

Of course, in my shock, I forgot to take photos–but here's that nifty marquee…

I hadn't been to Mariscos Licenciado #2 in Anaheim, one of the county's few-but-picking-up-in-numbers-as-of-recent Sinaloa-style seafood restaurants, in a couple of months, but have sent dozens of happy eaters to the place (note to the crazy Yelp kid who gave this place a one-star review and blamed me for it: honey, if you're a vegetarian, why on Earth are you going to a seafood restaurant? Also? There was an option for you: unlimited saltines and tostadas enlivened with a squeeze of lime juice and their many table hot sauces. More delicious than it sounds. Just saying).

Where was I? Oh, yeah: my visit last week. Not only was I shocked that their marquee is now new, but I almost thought I was in the wrong place when I entered.

At some point in the past couple of months, the owners rented out the space next to it (which I believe was either a pet store or a 99-cent store), knocked down the wall, and expanded Mariscos Licenciado #2. It's no longer the claustrophobic, oddly shaped mariscos dive but now a vast room. The menu remains the same: blindingly sour aguachile, cool ceviches, steaming caldos, and still no chilorio. Bring it back! And for those of you who don't know what chilorio is: don't worry about it until I find it in OC–in the meanwhile, I might get ol' Edwin to re-review the place….
