The chain, which started in Brussels in 1990, went on to conquer the rest of the world, including Bahrain, Japan and India. LA has a dozen of them. This is OC's first.
Touted are fall specials, including a broccoli, ham and swiss frittata; vegan cherry scone; gazpacho; roasted turkey, Brie and honey-mustard tartine; endive, Fourme d'Ambert and pear salad; French lentil, chickpea and avocado salad; mixed grapes and walnut tart; and sparkling hibiscus tea . . . and bread -- lots of bread.
