Last Service for Taco Maria THIS SATURDAY at SoCo Farmers Market

Temporarily sad news: Carlos Salgado has announced that Taco Maria will be parking for good.

This Saturday is your last chance to get food from the best luxe lonchera in Orange County; the truck's been sold to an enterprising young couple from San Diego.
The final service will be Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (or whenever the food runs out) at the SoCo Farmers Market, 3313 Hyland Ave., Costa Mesa. Expect a bigger-than-normal scrum.

They'll also be serving Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Executive Park in Irvine, on Main St. just off MacArthur Blvd., and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Yorba Linda High School Best Buy in Fullerton.
If you don't make it out there, though, don't fret: Taco Maria will be opening in the OC Mix at South Coast Collection. Salgado is hoping for a July opening of the permanent location; of course, we'll bring you details as we get them.

In the meantime, you will be able to show your love for those insane breakfast burritos, the bone marrow quesadillas, the mole de pollo and vegetarian tacos, and all the rest of it: there's going to be a Kickstarter campaign put up over the weekend to raise money, and we'll update this post when it goes up–be generous!
