The once-thriving Irvine minimall, at the corner of Von Karman and Barranca, used to be home to a sprawling food court and a Sam's Club. I wrote about the sad demise of the food court as one of my first posts on this blog. Sam's Club recently shuttered. Since then, The District across the way has stolen all of the customers and the attention.
It will be interesting how well received Jersey Mike's will be here. Or if anyone even notices that there's soon to be one more option other than Taco Bell, Burger King, and Panda Express at that corner.
