OC Greeks have their yearly celebration at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Irvine and the fried food fiends have got the OC Fair, but until this weekend, the Indians of OC has not yet, to my knowledge, held a food festival of their own.

The first “Swaad – The Indian Food Festival” is happening this Saturday, Aug 4, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Lakeview Senior Center in Irvine, hosted by The Association For India's Development and will have entertainment as well as food. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids. At the door, it will be $25 for adults, $15 for kids.
