A Food Profiling post is forthcoming, but in the meantime, let's discuss what the black-tie, $150-per-ticket experience will get you. Your four-course dinner is courtesy of chef Maurice Brazier, representing White House Catering, the same team responsible for the Anaheim White House. Afterward, a performance by the LAOPERA (Placido) Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program. The group will perform arias composed by 18th-century composer Gioachino Rossini–you know, the guy behind The Barber of Seville, The Thieving Magpie and other opera classics. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will go toward the Orange County affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The multifunctional space features retail, an exhibition kitchen, artwork throughout and a travel department. Passion for the finer things runs deep here, and it shows in its high-end product line. If you ask kindly, perhaps House of Balsamic will conduct an impromptu balsamic tasting.
