Back in May, we told you about HopScotch
, a new craft beer and whiskey tavern that would be opening within downtown Fullerton's original Pacific Railway Station
And then we waited. And waited. And waited.
Finally, after months of watching every detail of the space be built, from the vintage-style leather wall benches to the reclaimed oak barrel bar top, we've been given an opening date.
It's . . . this Sunday, Nov. 18.
We have more details and images coming but guests can get ready to experience the widest assembly of specialty whiskey in OC, from single malt scotch to small-batch and single barrel bourbons. Co-owner Bryan Gonzales and his team have also put together a fantastic craft beer list, which includes limited cask-aged, smoked, fruit, bitter and seasonal varieties, along with local favorites from breweries such as Bootlegger's, The Bruery and Noble Ale Works.
As for food, the menu will be packed with comfort dishes piled with slow-cooked, melt-in-your-mouth meats such as pulled pork and slow-roasted chicken, all served with house-made sauces. There'll be burgers, sliders and locally-sourced sausages, along with a must-order mac 'n' cheese.
