Yes, it is indeed ice cream (I won't tell you what flavor as it would give away too much). Besides, you should kind of guess what it is if you recognize what's served with it to the right. The pairing is as classic a combo as peanut butter and jelly.

But this place does something special to the dish that I've not seen any other place do: that blue flicker next to one of the scoops is not lens flare–it is actually a lit flame fueled from a splash of alcohol that was added just before service.
