Google Brews a Limited-Edition Beer

Because it hasn't yet invaded our bodies (only our minds and souls), Google is becoming drinkable.

Yep, it turns out the Google tech geeks are also beer geeks. The Internet behemoth has teamed up with craft-brew pioneer Dogfish Head to create a limited-edition Belgian dubbel called URKontinent. It brings together ingredients from around the globe--all suggestions from Google staffers worldwide--including wattleseed from Australia, toasted amaranth from South America, green rooibos from Africa, Myrica Gale from Europe and hive plex honey from California. (Google them!)

"Urkontinent was when people first recognized that all these continents fit together in a certain way," says Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione in a video about the Google-Dogfish collaboration (below). "That's kinda what we do when we bring a beer like this to life, and it's what Google does every day--take a fractured world of information and put it into something cohesive and whole."

The beer is on tap at Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware and will be showcased at this week's Great American Beer Festival in Denver. It will be packaged for full distribution in the coming months.
