We may have the original here in Orange County, California; but it seems that when it comes to Disney Parks, the second born gets all the fun. Disney World is putting the finishing touches of a Beauty and the Beast restaurant in Orlando, Florida called "Be Our Guest." The 500-seat eatery will be set inside the um, er, set of that memorable ballroom scene, complete with soaring ceilings and those grand chandeliers.
When it opens at The Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland this December, it will serve French food and also be the first restaurant at the park to serve beer and wine.
"You cannot walk into a French restaurant and not get a glass of wine or beer," Maribeth Bisienere, vice president of food and beverage for Walt Disney Parks told the Orlando Sentinel. "It made more sense to do it than not to do it."
The paper reports that despite the name, an adjacent Gaston's Tavern will not serve alcohol.
