Curry House Now Open In Santa Ana

I was getting dessert down the street when I noticed signage outside City Place. Upon further inspection, I spotted the Japanese-style curry outlet next door to Mother's Market. The 11th locale in their chain, Curry House launched just under a month ago. Less spicy than Indian curry, it would be prime comfort food . . .if the weather was cold enough.

In addition to this good news, they're advertising two specials for the month of February. The first: loco moco curry! I'm talking double beef patty, rice, sunny egg, traditional gravy. Oh, and then throw in broiled tomato, curry sauce and kaiware (daikon radish sprouts). Whew! Does it come with fries?

Curry House's second treat is a meal deal. Dinner for two for $30. Now before you start bitching about cost, we are talking three courses, plus beverages. A pair of entrees from their lengthy curry and spaghetti lists, soup or salad per person, and your choice of either a shared appetizer or duo of sweets can all be yours for under $20 a person. Yes, the loco moco curry is included in the special. Good times.

Curry House is located at 131 E Memory Ln, Santa Ana; www.curryhouse-usa.com.
