The Santa Ana steakhouse is throwing a shindig to benefit Feeding America, the country's biggest hunger-relief charity. The cost is $59 per person, but for that you get a copy of the chain's latest cookbook, the imaginatively entitled Morton's The Cookbook--100 Steakhouse Recipes for Every Kitchen.
Granted, trying to recreate the kid-glove service and clubby atmosphere at home isn't going to be easy once you get the book home, but at least the evening is for a good cause.
You'll also get to meet the chain's co-founder and co-author of the book, Klaus Fritsch, who'll be signing copies, and appetizers and cocktails will be served.
