Brick Pizzeria Coming To San Clemente. . . Eventually

We spotted this banner hanging across the street from St. Roy Chef's Pub at VINE. According to their Facebook page, the banner went up just after Labor Day. However, “Dp” has been tweeting about their future establishment since May

One of the many things stated on their page is that “No” will not be a part of our vocabulary. Sounds like something out of Sterling's Gold.

South County's answer to wood-fired pies also teases us with a number of featured entrees; specifically, the porchetta (roasted pig with herbs) served with root vegetables and Parmigiano Reggiano. They are slated to also run catering services via Brick's mobile oven.

Over the summer, their team conducted research up in San Francisco at the ever popular restuarant, Flour + Water. Dp tweeted about how they, “really enjoyed the crust at F&W. They don't use olive oil. Also love the paper thin vegetables from the market on their pies.”

A noteworthy tidbit is how they simply mention that they are opening their first location in San Clemente. However, they've still got until February next year before pushing the date back any further. Let's hope they've learned from others (*cough* Mozza *cough*) and are requesting their liquor license in a timely manner.

Brick Pizzeria will be located at 216 N. El Camino Real. You can click here for website information.
