All-You-Can-Eat Sushi Bar Replaces HK Tofu N Grill in Tustin

Considering nearby Irvine has no shortage of Korean soondubu (soft tofu) restaurants, you might not have noticed that Tustin's lone soft tofu restaurant, HK Tofu N Grill, is now gone, replaced by a Japanese All-You-Can-Eat sushi bar called Kami Sushi.

You might even wonder where exactly HK Tofu N Grill was. Answer: same parking lot as Dosa Place on Redhill near the 5 FWY, a restaurant which unlike HK Tofu gets a lot of press love, especially in these pages and blog posts.

For the better part of a month Kami was offering beer for a penny with any AYCE order ($18.95 for lunch, $22.95 for dinner). It unfortunately ends tonight, October 31st (they close at 10 p.m.), but if you still have no plans for Halloween, there's still time.

Looking at the menu, they have a roll called “Boobie” (patty of deep-fried rice with spicy tuna, crabmeat, avocado, tuna, salmon and yellowtail) and something called “Stinky Roll” (fresh albacore topped on California roll with fresh sliced onion and garlic butter).
