First on the agenda is Lobsterfest at Newport Dunes on Saturday, August 10. On its fourth year, a portion of the proceeds go to Leadership for Tomorrow and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In our favorite bordering city, Long Beach will host The Original Lobster Festival over in Shoreline Village's Rainbow Lagoon. Admission starts at $13 (but does NOT include lobster), with a number of dining and add-on options available, depending on your appetite. We suppose after 17 years, they know what folks are willing to shell out money for. Those seeking entertainment of the athletic variety are in luck.
