We love to brunch. There's no question about it. Perfectly poached eggs, sausage and hash browns are a few of our favorite things. So when an establishment takes our meal and improves upon it, we take notice.
Friends tend to discuss the bar scene and late night happy hour at Charlie Palmer, not the brunch. Patrons know more about DG Burger and the $20.13 prix fixe lunch than the Sunday special. They're missing out, plain and simple. Because what you get for your dollar is a helping of indulgence. Who wouldn't want an unlimited Bloody Mary bar that looks like that? For the record, brunch is also served a la carte.

If you do decide to commit, your options for appetizer and entree run the gamut, from light passion fruit granola with compressed melon to savory steamed egg custard-- a nod to Chef Kim's Asian heritage. You'll find safety nets of mixed greens and soup du jour, but we always look forward to our main course. The favorite varies, depending on our mood. Their French toast bread pudding is enough for the table, doubling as our fruit intake for the day (thanks to a berry garnish). Last time, it was all about a salmon rillette Scotch egg. We are guilty of deep fried, artery-clogging happiness served over Meyer lemon caper butter sauce and shaved radish. Thankfully, brunch is a Sunday treat, because we get to start over tomorrow.
