Nearly 65 poor sick little doggies and kitties had to be rescued from a pet store in Santa Ana where they were allegedly being mistreated, The Register reported today.

Oscar Segura, 23, of Santa Ana, was the second homicide victim in two days in Santa Ana. Police received a report around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 4, that a man had been shot near South Standard Avenue and Beverly Place, but no one was discovered. Segura, who had been shot several times, was instead found in the 800 block of East Normandy Place and rushed to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he died about 45 minutes later.
