  • The Best Taqueria in Orange County: Taqueria Tapatia

Apologies for the light posting this week, but am trying to stave off carpal tunnel syndrome. Also: image has nothing to do with the restaurant--it's just funny! I've been on the local lecture circuit recently, talking to students at Irvine Valley College, UC Irvine, and Saddleback High School. • Saddleback High School Covering Up Sex Crimes by Teacher's Aides?

This past Monday, a teacher's aide by the name of Alonso Manuel Gonzalez was arrested by SanTana police and released on bail. The Orange County Sheriff's website no longer lists why folks get thrown in the pokey, but the Orange County Superior Court website shows Gonzalez was arrested for a"lewd act with dependant adult by caretaker." Sources tell the Weekly Gonzalez works at Saddleback High School in SanTana and that he works primarily with disabled students--and that school officials are tryi

But Brennan hasn't proved particularly popular amongst Saddleback faculty and parents, if one is to believe the comments left at Orange Juice!'s SanTana Unified School District section (and you should--more on this in a future post).

Orozco is the mother of a girl with Down Syndrome who pulled out her daughter from Saddleback because, among other reasons, she didn't trust Gonzalez around her d
