Next week, the pinche hilarious Borat Sagdiyev graces American screens with his Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. The Weekly sponsored a screening yesterday at The Block at Orange, and weren't we all surpised when the Virgin Megastore there played a crucial role in the film! Lest we be accused of spoiling films, let's just say it involves Pamela Anderson and a parking lot. Jagshemash!.
Borat clung to No. 1 again this past weekend, no doubt bouyed by countless favorable reviews, exceedingly positive word-of-mouth and Steve Lowery's article on the climactic scenes filmed at the Block at Orange. Since the party people had their own power supply, though, everybody kept on dancing in the (near) dark.
Earlier in the day, the news came in that the big festival winners were CAPTAIN ABU RAED, the first f

The Virgin Megastore at the Block in Orange will indeed be closing. The plug gets pulled January 4. In the meantime: bargains! I grabbed a yellow flier loaded with exclamation points:"Prices slashed up to 40% off the lowest ticketed price! Everything must go! Save now! Makes a great gift! Super selection! Tremendous savings!
