LA shoegazers Autolux are coming to Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa on April 2, with $15 tickets going on sale this Friday (2/20) at 10 a.m. The band caught praise in 2004--including an 8.3 from Pitchfork Media--with the release of their first full-length album, Future Perfect. They haven't released much since then (or, other than one single last year...anything), but they've remained active and plan on releasing a second record "sometime" this year. You can pressure them about it in just a few weeks!
Hey there, readers. The Plain White T's, of the inescapable 2007 hit "Hey There, Delilah" are coming to the Glass House on March 31; tickets are $15 and go on sale at noon on Monday (2/23). Autolux are also coming to the Glass House, on April 5--which, given their previously announced Detroit Bar on April 2, means that they're running the very rare Detroit Bar/Glass House gauntlet. How exciting! Tickets for that are $14, and on sale today at noon.

Salinger-types (sorry, Franny and Zooey fans), they are working on a new record, Transit Transit, which will be o
I am lame. Among the lamest, really. I didn't go to Autolux at Detroit Bar last night, even though I had been planning on it for a while. The reasons aren't that interesting (I worked late and was really sleepy--see, told you, not interesting), but at least some people were cool enough to go, like photog extraordinaire Andrew Youssef, who had this to say about the gig:"It was freaking awesome. The Detroit Bar was packed. Autolux had their own sound guy so everything was perfectly mixed. A lot of
Remember the Autolux show at Detroit Bar in April? The one Andrew Youssef attended and took some photos at and wrote some words about here? Didn't go? Well, here's your chance to redeem yourself: the LA band is coming back to the very same Costa Mesa venue on September 17. $15 tickets are on sale this Friday, July 10, at 10 a.m.Also in Detroit's near future: Quantic, the musical project of Colombia-based (but born in England) multi-instrumentalist William Holland. He's done work as a DJ, but thi
Stephanie WilliamsThis week's Locals Only features Orange County band Janu and the Whalesharks, opening up for Tim Kasher of Cursive and Azure Ray at tomorrow's swell show at the Glass House in Pomona.
