One of Mexico’s up-and-coming pop groups, Belanova are touring in support of their newly released Sueño Electro I . The unstoppable trio from Guadalajara first tasted success with 2003’s Cocktail —its lead single “Tus Ojos” (“Your Eyes”) found a home on both a national car commercial and the top of the charts. It’s been a steady journey upward since; the band have enjoyed Latin Grammy nominations and top-selling singles, with “Por Ti” (“For You”) dominating MTV Mexico’s Top 20 for 29 weeks. That’s quite a lot for a group who bank on freewheeling, dreamy synth-pop.
