'Cause you gotta tell me if you are. Anyway, the Fullerton Flyers are a professional baseball team set to open their home season this weekend with four games against the Yuma Scorpions. Go to hell, Yuma . . . wait, you're already there. Ha! The Flyers are part of the independent Golden League, which features former college players as well as guys who've done their time in the minor leagues. It's good-quality ball, and even if you don't know anything about baseball, isn't it a gas to cheer for Flyers first basemen Chad Chop and Peanut Williams? And who's giving it up for pitcher Nick Casanova? Now, one of the best things about the Fullerton Flyers is it's inexpensive—as opposed to the Yorba Linda Swirly, which will cost you two large and requires three weeks' notice. The best seat in the house will cost you 13 bucks; general admission is just $7; and kids under 12, folks over 55 and military personnel get in for a five spot. Like any good minor-league operation, the Flyers have some great promotions. Like, if you buy a Noche de Béisbol T-shirt and wear it to any Friday-night game, they'll give you a free tray of nachos.
