The first we heard of this Melbourne-based trio was when their debut LP graced the Weekly office a few years back. A bright pair of glossy, fuchsia lips and the reflection of a twinkling city through a ridiculous pair of mirrored sunglasses—the album was called Bright Like Neon Love , and we were infatuated. Cut Copy embodies the very ideals of electropop: sugary-sweet, slightly robotic and packed with synth riffs.
