For Hunx's latest album, Hairdresser Blues, he dropped the Punx, played everything but drums himself (that instrument went to Nu Sensae's Daniel Pitout), and dove into some yet-uncharted Hunx territory. Sure, there's still the wigs-glitter-thongs flamboyant rock that we can't get enough of, but there's a melancholy tenderness now that makes Hunx even more endearing. We love "Say Goodbye Before You Leave," a song written for his close friend, the late Jay Reatard.
